It comes from a beautiful place: you've learned to put the needs of others before your own to make sure everyone around you feels taken care of and safe.
However, this pattern can quickly become overwhelming when you find yourself saying yes to requests when your heart wants to do the opposite. You say yes to an invitation when deep down, a part of you just wants to stay in and watch a movie in your PJs. You say yes to helping a friend move when what you really need is an unscheduled afternoon to catch up on laundry and changing the shower filter.
You might find yourself overly-committed to things you wish you hadn't agreed to or even spending time with people that feel like more of a drain than an energy boost.
Is this relatable?
Whether you identify as a "people pleaser" or simply find yourself saying yes to others and feeling guilty when you don't, this is for you!
What might happen if you start saying yes to yourself and then show up for others from a place of overflow? What might change for you?
