Fear of Running Out of Energy

It's one thing to listen to the body and honor its need to rest, ESPECIALLY when it's coming from a place of honesty and self-respect.
It's an entirely different scenario to avoid doing certain things out of fear that your body can't handle it.
We (innocently) get caught in the spirals of "what if I'm completely knocked down by this & can't function and have to rest for 6 days?" kind of thinking that feels like it's holding us back from living our lives.
We feel the fear and choose NOT to do what we deep down WISH WE COULD.
Very curious how this one goes for you all.
As you learn to honor both your need for rest AND the pull to move your body and enjoy BEING in a body in a playful way, you might even notice that you can feel the fear, but decided to do the "thing" anyways. Or perhaps, you hear that wise voice that says, "hey, I know you want to push but right now, let's rest. You'll have more energy later." It's all about listening to the voice that likes you, moment by moment, knowing there's no wrong choice when it comes to resting or playing.

Part of healing from complex trauma requires that we widen our window of tolerance: slowly, gently, and taking breaks to integrate often.
