When you don't know what to do, the best next step might actually be to INTENTIONALLY choose to do nothing.
Yes, I know. It sounds a little irresponsible at first...
It might feel weird if you are used to fixing and maneuvering your way out of a sticky situation.
How could you possibly sit still when there is something needing to be fixed?!
But, when you're feeling too frazzled and fearful to think clearly, sometimes the best course of action is choosing to pause and wait until more data presents itself.
By waiting for things to settle, we actually open up space to take action in a way that feels calm and collected.
Cheers to choosing to do nothing, just for the time being, to make space for clarity to emerge.
Similar to murky water: if we let it settle, with a little patience, soon the dirt finds its place at the bottom and the water above becomes crystal clear: maybe even clean enough to drink (just kidding....)
Our brains our similar: when we let the thoughts settle without trying to agitate or change anything, the chaos eventually quiets down.
After tapping and settling into the idea to take a pause on any action, what do you find yourself feeling?
